What makes byte better?
What are byte invisible aligners?

Invisible aligners are these amazing, totally clear plastic devices custom made to fit your teeth. They gradually shift your teeth so that they’re straight and your smile looks great.

How do byte invisible aligners work?

Based off of the impressions you take at home, our orthodontic team will create a smile that is all your own. You get a set of custom invisible aligners that moves your teeth safely, a little at a time. After you wear each aligner for one week, you progress to the next set, until you complete the program and achieve the perfect smile.  Please note that in order to switch your aligners every week you will need to use HyperByte for 5 minutes a day and wear your aligners for 22 hours a day.

What are byte aligners made of?

Our invisible aligners are made of a BPA-free highly transparent, medical grade, polymer film. Our cutting edge aligners are scientifically proven to be smoother, and 88% more stain resistant than other aligners in the industry. Don’t let the good looks fool you though, these babies are high impact, tear resistant bad asses that keep your teeth in line while keeping you comfortable.

Do byte aligners follow the contour of my gums?

No. byte invisible aligners are cut straight across. This is the best way for the aligners to grip your teeth and create the gentle force needed to straighten them.

How do I know if byte is right for me?

byte is designed to work for minor to moderate alignment, including correcting spacing, crowding between teeth and rotation. Your at-home impressions will give us the information we need to know if you are a good candidate for byte. If you’re not, we’ll refund the full price of the Impression Kit.

Your Health

I just had my wisdom teeth removed. Is it too soon to start byte?

It’s a good idea to wait six weeks after having your wisdom teeth removed to start byte. You might be able to start sooner if your surgeon says it’s okay, but we would need a signed release form from the office where you had the procedure done.

I still have my wisdom teeth. Is it safe to start byte?

Follow your dentist’s recommendation. If they think you need to have your wisdom teeth removed, take care of that first, then think about straightening your teeth with byte.

Can I do byte if I have a dental implant?

It’s possible. Our dentists will need to take a look at your impressions to know for sure. If you’re not a candidate, you’ll get a refund for the Impression Kit.

Can I use aligners if I have missing teeth?

It’s possible. Our dentists will need to take a look at your impressions to know for sure. If you’re not a candidate, you’ll get a refund for the Impression Kit.

Will my teeth hurt while I’m doing byte?

A little, maybe. Just like when you step up your workout at the gym, you’ll feel some soreness for a few days when you start wearing a new aligner. It’s a good sign. It means the aligner is working. If it’s really bad or lasts longer than a few days, we’re here for you. Contact us.

Are aligners safe to wear if I’m pregnant?

It’s not unsafe, but we want you to be aware that pregnancy can cause your teeth to shift, which means you could need new impressions and aligners. Also, some people find aligning uncomfortable during pregnancy. We recommend waiting until you’re not pregnant to do byte.

Why don’t my aligners cover my molars?

We make your aligners to fit your mouth without getting in your way. It might not be necessary to move your back teeth to get the results you want.

How often should I wear my aligners?

All the time, pretty much. Or as much as you possibly can. Only take your aligners out to eat and drink.

When should I change my aligners? Morning or evening?

We recommend changing your aligners at night before bed.

Are there any visits to a dental office during treatment?

No, none! With byte, you never need to set foot in a dentist’s office. Except for your regular cleanings, of course.

Based off of the impressions you take at home, our orthodontic team will create a smile that is all your own. Whom do I contact if I'm having a dental emergency?

For dental emergencies, contact your local dentist or call 911.

How do I clean my aligners?

Always clean your aligners when you take them out. Rinse them under cool water, then brush them with your toothbrush. You don’t need toothpaste for this. We also provide BrightByte whitening gel, which also doubles as a foam cleanser. So you can put that in when you replace your aligners. Just please always rinse your aligners immediately when you take them out. You don’t want residue that causes your aligners to look cloudy or discolored.

Can I use teeth whitening gel in my aligners?

Yes, and we’ll provide it for you. We don’t recommend using another whitening gel because it could damage your aligners. If you’re going to use something other than BrightByte, only use a plain, hydrogen peroxide based product, with a concentration of 3.5% and no other active ingredients.

Can I smoke while wearing my aligners?

We do not recommend smoking as it causes discoloring, bad breath and an overall unsexy smile.

Can I drink alcohol while wearing my aligners?

No. You’ll need to remove your aligners if you’re eating or drinking anything other than plain water.

Can I skip ahead?

No, please don’t do this. Your aligners are designed to move your teeth at an optimum pace that is neither too slow, nor too fast. If your aligners fall out or don’t fit properly at any point, let us know and we’ll take care of the problem.

What happens if things aren't improving as promised?

Sometimes, updates to your plan may be necessary. You could need an adjustment at the end of your treatment that consists of extra sets of aligners. If, in the middle of your treatment, your teeth are not tracking according to plan, we may need you to take new impressions and continue treatment according to the new starting point. If anything seems off at any time, let us know.

What is Splitit?

Splitit is a global payment solution enabling shoppers to pay for purchases with VISA or MASTERCARD credit card by splitting the cost into interest-free monthly payments.

At this time, byte offers 3 or 6 month payment options with Splitit.

How Does Splitit work?

Splitit requests authorization from the shopper's card company, reserving the total purchase amount from the shopper's available line of credit. Then, each month, according to the shopper's payment plan, the installment amount is collected and Splitit requests authorization for the remaining balance.

Here is an example of how the service works for a customer buying byte aligners totaling $1,895 in 6 installments of $316.67 each:

1. Splitit obtains authorization from the credit card company for the full purchase amount of $1,900. This is not a charge on the card; it is simply reserving $1,900 from the shopper's line of credit.
2. The credit card company then charges the shopper $316.67 for the first payment.
3. During the second month, Splitit requests authorization for the outstanding purchase amount of $1583.33, and charges the shopper the second installment of $316.67.
4. This authorization and charge process continues until the full $1,895 is collected–in this case, for 6 months.

Can I pay off my installments early?

Yes, you can. This option is available on your Splitit consumer portal or you can contact our customer care at support@splitit.com.

Is there an application process for Splitit?

Splitit requires no application or registration. There is an instant approval by using the shoppers existing credit/ debit card level.

Our same policy applies if it’s determined you're not a candidate.  Your payment will be refunded to the card you used for payment.

What happens to my money if I used my FSA card and I need to be refunded after the first of the year?

We recommend checking with your FSA provider to get that info, as each carrier is different.

What if I don’t have enough money in my FSA to cover the full cost?
